IBA 2025: Spanish excellence shines at the world’s leading bakery and pastry trade fair

Düsseldorf, Germany – IBA 2025, held from May 18 to 22, reaffirmed its position as the world’s leading event for the bakery, pastry, and baked goods industry. This year’s edition brought together top global players in food technology, automation, and sustainability—with a strong showing from Spanish companies exhibiting independently.

 

Spanish quality and specialization in the spotlight

Several Spanish companies participated individually at IBA 2025, showcasing advanced solutions in industrial ovens, automated production lines, fermentation systems, dough processing, and packaging. Brands like SALVA stood out with a comprehensive range of equipment for professional baking and pastry, highlighting Spain’s commitment to quality, productivity, and sustainability.

 

Technological innovation and future-focused solutions

SALVA presented integrated solutions including modular ovens, fermentation chambers, display cabinets, and complementary accessories. MIMASA also made a strong impression with tailor-made equipment for the food industry, offering advanced systems for washing, sanitizing, and drying all types of handling elements—designed for efficiency and hygiene.

Another key participant was Synchropack, known for automatic wrapping systems using flexible materials, integrating feeding systems with horizontal flowpack machines for highly automated environments.

 

A global event with strategic impact

Despite changes in scheduling, IBA 2025 was a resounding success. Spanish companies praised the fair as a key meeting point for connecting with international clients and partners. The event attracted more than 49,000 professional visitors from 149 countries, including Germany, Italy, France, Turkey, India, and the United States—with 60% of attendees in decision-making roles.

IBA 2025 confirmed that the Spanish bakery and pastry sector is not only keeping pace with global trends but is actively helping to shape them. The diversity of Spanish exhibitors, their strong focus on innovation, and clear international ambition reinforced Spain’s image as a leader in bakery and food technology on the world stage..
